Below is a brief summary of all the changes to Windows 11 that were part of the "2023 Update" which was released on October 31 2023.
This is a new virtual assistant that uses the latest trend - AI (Artificial Intelligence) - to help you do almost anything on your computer, from asking it complex questions and getting detailed answers based on information from the web e.g. help with planning a trip or time differences between two countries, or asking it to summarize or rewrite documents.
Because it will be fully integrated into Windows you will also be able to use it to help you use Windows such as changing settings e.g. enabling dark mode.
This will completely replace the now obsolete Cortana.

File Explorer has been redesigned with a new improved layout which features an improved address bar which seamlessly integrates with OneDrive, an improved details pane, and a new gallery view to allow you to browse your photos easily in chronological order within File Explorer.

New volume mixer controls which can easily be accessed via the taskbar or by pressing Windows + Ctrl + V, the redesign makes it easier to quickly change the volume for different apps.

A new backup tool which will allow you to easily backup files, documents and photos to OneDrive, it will also remember what apps you have installed including where they are pinned on the start menu and taskbar, your Windows 11 settings and credentials such as for Wi-Fi networks and Edge websites making the transition to a new PC much more seamless.

Improvements to the existing Snap Layouts feature so that it will suggest layout positions based upon your existing open applications.

The settings app has a new "Home" page which features quick access to frequently accessed settings and options such as personalization, taskbar settings, OneDrive, and Windows Update.
