One of the new features in the April 2018 update for Windows 10 is Timeline

Timeline works by tracking what you do on your devices and then organizes it into a list which is shown within Task View as per sample image below

You can then scroll through the past days/weeks using the slider on the right hand side and see what documents you opened, edited or read, what photos you viewed, what you browsed etc, or you can click the magnifying glass in the top right corner to search for a specific activity

You can then easily resume that task on the same device or on another device connected to the same Microsoft Account by clicking on it, meaning you could start reading an article on your desktop, and then resume from where you left off on your laptop later

You can remove activities from Timeline by right clicking on an activity and choosing Remove to remove selected item or Clear all from Earlier today / Clear all from date to remove all activities from chosen day

If you want to delete all activity from your Timeline you can do this via Settings > Privacy > Activity history > uncheck Let Windows sync my activities from this PC to the cloud > move to a different section and back again and you can then now click Clear under Clear activity history. Once cleared you can check Let Windows sync my activities from this PC to the cloud again
