Windows Vista, 7 and 8
You can customize your mouse in various ways by clicking Start > Control Panel > Mouse (under the Hardware and Sound section)

Buttons - Allows you to swap the mouse buttons (handy if you are left handed), or change the double click speed
Pointers - Allows you to change the default mouse pointer that you see on the screen
Pointer Options - Change options such as pointer speed and pointer trails
Wheel - Configure the scroll options and speed for the wheel
Hardware - Shows the type of mouse that is attached to your computer
