To change settings for Google Chrome click the icon in the top right corner and choose Settings.

On this page you can do the following:-

oSet Google Chrome as your default browser.

oChange your start page (home page)

oImport bookmarks (favorites) and settings from other browsers such as Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge.

oSign in to Chrome using your Google account so all devices you use share settings, bookmarks, history etc.

o& much more.

To access your bookmarks (favorites) click the icon and choose Bookmarks from the menu.

You can also enable the bookmarks bar to allow quick access to your most used websites - to do this click the icon, click Bookmarks > Show bookmarks bar.

To add a website to your bookmarks or bookmarks bar click the icon.

You can also import your favorites from Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge (Bookmarks HTML File) - to do this click the icon in the top right corner, and select Import bookmarks and settings.

The following dialog box will be shown - choose which program you wish to import from, what items you want to import and then click Import - you can then access these favorites (bookmarks) as described above.

When you click on a file to download Google Chrome will automatically start downloading it for you and the progress will be shown at the bottom of the screen.

To view/manage your downloaded files click the icon and choose Downloads from the menu - you will then see the following window where you can see a history of all files download, access your downloads folder, search your downloads or open a file you have downloaded.

If you need to browse the web without leaving any tracks in your browsers history or temporary internet files e.g. buying a gift for your partner and you don't want them to see what websites you have been too - then you can use Incognito browsing - to do this click and choose New incognito window from the menu.  You can also right click a link on an existing web page and choose Open link in incognito window.
