AVG also gives you the ability to securely delete files so that no one can recover them

 

To securely delete a file or folder, right mouse click on it and select Shred using AVG, you will then be prompted to confirm shredding by clicking Shred All

 

 

 

 

You can also access the AVG Data Shredder via the Menu in AVG - here you can choose between File Shredder (which will let you browse and choose which files or folders you wish to shred), Drive Shredder (which will wipe a whole drive - use with care!) or Deleted Files Shredder (which will permanently shred any files you have already deleted)
