Holding down the left mouse button whilst dragging a file or folder to a new location moves the dragged file or folder to that location.

 

 

 

SHIFT + LEFT MOUSE BUTTON

Holding down the left mouse button and SHIFT key whilst dragging a file or folder to a new location moves the dragged file or folder to that location.

 

 

CTRL + LEFT MOUSE BUTTON

Holding down the left mouse button and CTRL key whilst dragging a file or folder to a new location copies the dragged file or folder to that location.

 

 

ALT + LEFT MOUSE BUTTON

Holding down the left mouse button and ALT key whilst dragging a file or folder to a new location creates a shortcut to the dragged file or folder in that location.

 

 

RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON

 

 

If you drag and drop a file whist holding down the right mouse key you will see a menu giving you the option to either Copy, Move or create a shortcut.
