After clicking New Message, you will be presented with the screen below where you can enter the following


If the New Message pane opens beside your email list then you can make it larger by clicking the "Open in new window" icon as shown circled below










Here you enter the email address of the recipient or click the to_outlook icon to select people from your contacts list


The Cc button can be used to send a copy to other recipients where all recipients can see who it has been sent too, whereas the Bcc button hides additional recipients (which is what you should use if sending to multiple recipients)


Add a subject

Here you enter the subject (title) of your email message, it is advisable not to leave this blank as many email systems will treat it as junk mail (spam)



Use this toolbar to format your message i.e. change font style, font size, bold, underline text etc



Here you type the main body of your email message


Insert / Attach

Click the Attach icon (the one which looks like a Paper Clip) to attach a file from your computer (or OneDrive)

Click the Insert pictures in-line icon (the one which looks like a picture) to insert a picture into your email message

Click the Insert emoji and GIFs icon (the smiley face) to insert a emoticon into your email message

Click the ... to insert signature and to change other message options


Send / Discard

When you have finished composing your message click Send, or click Discard if you no longer wish to send it
