When you Copy a file to a new location the file exists in both the place you copied it from and the place you copied it to, for example below we have two files in the Pictures folder, we copy Genie and paste it into the Cats folder, now the Genie file is in both the Pictures and the Cats folder
When you copy a file it is placed into the clipboard, the term Paste means to retrieve that file and paste it into a new location
To Copy \ Paste either Right Click the File \ Folder and select Copy \ Paste from the menu
or
Click Edit from the File Menu and select Copy or Paste
or
Press Ctrl + C (Copy) or Ctrl +V (Paste)
