Place a blank CD or DVD in your drive

First of all find the files you wish to write to CD, highlight and click Burn on the toolbar

Windows will now ask what type of CD/DVD you wish to create:-

If you wish to make a permanent CD that can be used in other computers then choose "With a CD/DVD player"

If you wish to edit and change the files on the CD after writing it then choose "Like a USB flash drive"

For compatibility with other computers and software and for making backups of your data I would advise the "With a CD/DVD player" option

Choose required option and click Next

A window will appear listing all the files you have chosen to write to CD/DVD, click Burn to disc in the toolbar

Choose a title for your CD/DVD and then click Next to proceed with writing the CD/DVD
