Folder Pane

Show a list of all your current folders such as Inbox, Sent, Deleted etc as well as any folders you have created yourself - the contents of this pane vary depending on whether you are viewing your emails, calendar, contacts etc

Message List

Shows a list of all messages in currently selected folder

Reading Pane

Provides a preview of message selected in the message list so you can see information about the sender and the message without fully opening it - also allows you to reply to or forward the email

Shortcuts

Easily switch between Mail, Calendar, People (Contacts), Tasks and Notes

Connection Status

Shows the status of the connection to your mail server - any connection errors will be show here
