Windows Help and Support contains lots of information to help you use your computer - and can be accessed by pressing the F1 key on your keyboard

 

If you press it whilst on the Desktop then you will see the main screen below where you can browse the various sections or search for help

 

 

If you press F1 whilst in a program, or with a particular window or item open then the Help displayed will be relevant to that particular area

 

e.g. if you press F1 whilst in Windows Update then you will see help about Windows automatic updating

 

 

There is also a new Help+Tips app that contains lots of information on getting the most from Windows 8 - this can be found on the Start Screen
