MEMORY UPGRADES

One of the most important areas of your computer is the memory (RAM) and if your PC doesn't have enough (which most older PC's don't) then it can run really slow

Upgrading your memory is a cost effective way of prolonging its life without replacing it

Click the "Crucial Memory Advisor Tool" link at the bottom of this page to visit the Crucial memory website where you can scan your PC to see how much memory you have and to order a suitable upgrade

To perform the scan once you have opened the Crucial website using the link below click "System Scanner", then "Scan My Computer ", tick the box and click "Download the Scanner" and click Run when prompted - after a few moments the advisor will show you the upgrade options

PC Assist @ Home can fit the memory for you once it arrives for a discount rate of £20 for all customers who order the memory upgrade through the link below

I would recommend the following amounts of memory for your PC:-

Windows XP - 1Gb (1024Mb) minimum - 2Gb (2048Mb) optimum
(N.B. The maximum memory supported by Windows XP is 3Gb)

Windows Vista / 7 - 2Gb (2048mb) minimum - 3-4Gb (3072-4096Mb) optimum
(N.B. You need a 64-bit version of Windows Vista / 7 to fully utilize more than 3Gb)
