Below is a brief summary of all the changes to Windows 10 in the "October 2018 Update" version 1809 which was released on 9th October 2018

As with the previous release, most of the improvements are under the hood relating to performance and reliability but there are also lots of new features, some of which are covered below

Like previous major updates to Windows 10 it will be released in waves so not everyone will receive it at the same time, so it may be several weeks/months before your computer automatically updates to this new edition

N.B. After the update has installed and your computer has rebooted you may see a screen introducing you to new features you may not know about and giving you the change to configure them - you may click Skip for now

Some of the features mentioned in this intro are Windows Hello (ability to sign in using face recognition or fingerprint on supported devices), Linking your PC and phone, Configure OneDrive cloud storage and Office 365
